W.A.G.S Canine University
Campus Courtesies
Immunizations:
All puppies and adult canines must provide proof of immunizations prior to entering the training ring. We request all canine families provide their canine family members with a parasite (Flea, Tick & Worm) prevention program. Please respect fellow canine families and help W.A.G.S to provide a clean and healthy atmosphere for all our students. If a canine has any parasite issues they will politely be dismissed from class until they are parasite free and may resume class at that time.
Illness:
If your canine companion is feeling under the weather please do not bring them to class. If a vet excuse is provided W.A.G.S will work with you, if at all possible, to insure you make up your class(s) with no additional charges. Illnesses include but are not limited to, draining open wounds, kennel cough, parasite issues, vomiting, and diarrhea.
Elimination:
Please note the designated area on the W.A.G.S campus where dogs are permitted to eliminate. Please clean up after you companions. We want to keep our campus clean for all our students. If a canine eliminates inside we ask you use the cleaning supplies provided to clean up. We would respectfully request you not allow your pooches to "mark" any area of the building. We ask that dogs who "mark" the building areas wear a belly wrap.
Leash / Collar Law:
Retractable leashes, and flexi leads are not permitted on the W.A.G.S campus. We do realize the popularity of these leashes but strongly believe these leashes are a safety hazard during training. Always remember to keep your dogs on a leash at all times and keep your canine companion within 4 feet of you at all times. When entering the building please enter cautiously. Look and then enter as not to startle other canine students.
Female Dogs in Season:
Female Dogs in Season are not permitted on the W.A.G.S. campus. W.A.G.S. reserves the right to ask owners to leave the facility if a female is in season. Owners may return with their canine as soon as the female dogs' season passes. Please respect other canine owners as this is a safety and concentration issue.
Safety Guidelines for Canines & Children:
We respectfully ask that you "ALWAYS" pay attention to your canine companion. Prevent your canine from sniffing other canine students. Please be mannerly and walk your dog with your body between two canine students. Always ask to pet another family's canine member. Enter and Exit the building thru the designated doors. Respect all Canine space.
Children and family members are welcome to attend and observe any classes. Children must always be accompanied by an adult and stay within immediate supervision. Other then Puppy PreSchool one family member is permitted in the instruction ring with their canine. Due to the canine atmosphere we recommend all canine families enroll attending children in a Canine & Kids safety class. Any human young or old, disrespecting a canine will be politely corrected and in extreme circumstances, asked to leave. W.A.G.S will do all we can to work with owners whose canines have aggression issues in a private setting until or if the canine is ready to enter a group atmosphere.
Miscellaneous
Remember to wear comfortable closed toe shoes to class. Heels or flip flops are not conducive to working your canine. We don't want to see our human friends hurting themselves.
