PUPPY PRE-SCHOOL

Puppy Pre-School will set the foundation for a lifetime of training through proper socialization and basic skills in a positive setting. Happy and well-balanced dogs are a pleasure to their owners and those around them.
Pre-School will plant the seed of  basic manners that are necessary building blocks for later learning, such as, attention, sit, down, watch me, come, early socialization. Common puppy issues will be addressed such as house-training and crate training.

Absolutely NO choker collars, flexi/zip leads or back clasp harness… are permitted.
Bring to class:
Soft treats, plain 6 ft leash, plain buckle collar or Easy Walk Harness.
New puppy owner suggested reading material: Behavioral Stages.

Sundays 2:45p.m. – 3:45p.m
Meets weekly for 5, 1 hour sessions. $95 per dog for the entire session.

 

 

FUNdamentals (Basic Household Manners)

FUNdamentals (Basic Household Manners)For the dog with no formal training or young dogs who have not attended Puppy Pre-School.

Some of what we teach…

• Introduction to Loose Leash Walking
• Sit/Stay
• Basic attention Commands
• Come when Called
• Drop it
• Leave it and lots more!

We also focus on polite greetings, good manners, and help you with specific behavioral challenges you may be encountering.

Dogs under 20 weeks may participate if they have completed the puppy preschool class or have been recommended by an instructor!

Advanced FUNdamentals

Advanced FUNdamentals

For the dog who has completed Puppy Pre-school, with us or somewhere else. Who already has basic obedience  and want  to further their training. Reinforcing solid basics and working towards more advanced training, while working around distractions.
We will work on…

• Introduction to off leash training
• Consistent healing – Loose Leash Walking
• Longer Sit/Stay
• More distraction- attention Commands
• Come when called during distractions
• Consistent – drop it * commands with other dogs in close proximity
• Consistent – leave it and lots more!

We also focus on more polite greetings, more good manners, and help you with specific problems you are dealing with at home.

Community Class Canine

AKC

 

 

 

This group class is taught in the real world. The next step out of the classroom. For students wanting to move further in training as well as students wanting to pass your CGC, Prep for Therapy Dog testing.

 

CGC and AKC Community Canine Testing will be held the last class of a session if you/we feel your companion is ready for the test (testing fees included). This is a class that can be taken multiple times as we change locations of the classes often. Student repeating this class are charged 1/2 price for a repeat session.

Meets Saturdays 9:30 a.m. 5, 1-1.5 hour sessions $125 per session.
